Welcome to the COVID-19 Tracker. I made and designed this from scratch over the course of two weekends. I liked the JHU CSSE Tracker, but wanted to see if I could make something that displayed the data better.

This application look and feel is loosely based on the visualization created by John Hopkins University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering: JHU CSSE.

The database used to populate the application is from the John Hopikins CSSE Data Repository:
JHU CSSE COVID-19 on Github.

Canadian data is supplemented by data from the COVID-19 Canada Open Data Working Group:
Epidemiological Data from the COVID-19 Outbreak in Canada.(2020)

The trajectory charts are based of the fantastic work of John Burns-Murdoch at the Financial Times:
Financial Times: Coronavirus tracked.

There may be errors or glitches in the application because of the underlying dataset or from late night coding.
